Before The Storm

Great snows are forecast.
What is coming but
feels impossible?
Warmth. Spring. Summer. Fall.
Winter. Man is cold.
But so much hubris.
Best live as humbled
beast. Right sized. The fires.
Blizzards. Great freezes,
epic thaws. Earthquakes.
Volcanos. Typhoons.
Twisters. Hurricanes
and floods. Bring us word
of holy kingdoms.
We consequences
of clinging. We act.
As if permanent.
Bigger. Faster. Scar
the lands. Pollute red
the skies. Where am I
in this? It’s snowing.
