Choose Yourself

Choose Yourself

She walks on this earth among fellow individuals
as if she owes the world every fiber of her being

Searching for meaningless answers in her existence
for substantial questions that barely exist

Is it the weight of heartbreaks or cold loneliness?
Perhaps it is the powerlessness from living in other people’s world

To all the people she truly belongs
she will always be too much but never enough

She gives away her love and warmth
and allows them to consume her heart and soul

For who knows when the healing begins?
Every time she falls, she expects a new beginning

Her soul whispers quietly at the brink of night
I hope you choose yourself this time.
