Christmas Morning

written by: huntersjames

Tiny steps eager cross the floor
Wrap the night we sleep no more
Eager smiles and anxious eyes
Promise of the dawning skies
Garlands adorn bare walls for our delight
Poinsettias charm the season red and bright
Warm fire toasts small hands from the cold
Their Santa looms alive for them never old
Older non-believers, really wizened fools
Find renewal in these laughing smiling jewels
We each love the season, cherishing our past,
As lovers, children, partners, parents we will make it last

done a lot of things,
some more worthwhile than others,
now I'm doin this
