captured rays of hope

as skies glow amber
and toasts marmalade sunsets
existence inhales
during formidable years
and exhales life’s encore
enjoy the applause
while warmth escapes from the sun
and shadows still dance
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 40 years being rewarded professionally and personally. Now retired, I am following my dreams and enjoy family, travel, writing, and promotion of others. My poetry appears in eleven anthologies, and my work is published across six platforms, inclusive of WordPress, PoetrySoup, Spillwords, BlueSky, Mastodon, and Tumblr. I'm thrilled in be in the company of such a talented group of kindred souls.
