Don’t Say Goodbye

Don’t Say Goodbye

written by: Sabe Ngu

Through hurdles of life; alone
Wrapped in a dignified ecstasy; poverty
But comfortable, like a head-on a pillow
Reminding itself of a fortune
Somewhere in visible darkness
Like a Fairy’s attendant
Nodding at a true lie.
Convinced by the windy evening
Of the Spring’s Friday
Like the hope of a witch
Betrothed to a wizard
That if I roar
Not even like a lion
The garment of mighty invisibility
Will dress me by itself.
I cried joyously
When your footsteps
Raced towards my doorstep
In a way, I ran out for a welcome.
And all of a sudden
(For a fighter is always right
For to his rights, he is inclined)
You indulged in the witches of the world
And then caged me under Nerve-racking
Thus, offered me to the rarest giant panda.
But, now, I nod
Like a lizard, admiring nune’s taste
Part from me
But don’t say goodbye
For tomorrow is neither measured nor calculated
Like damn heavens of yesterday.
