Flower From Fissure

Flower From Fissure

Beauty sprouts
through crevices
of hard concrete
and dark asphalt
in looming shadows
cast upon the street.

Beauty emerges
from fissures and girth
between brokenness
and hard places
from beneath
the fractured earth.

Beauty is arrayed
from fruits of spring
in flourishing green
and purple flowers
calling forth hope
in the proceeding hours.

Sometimes it is the little things
bringing forth beauty
sprouting from in-between
in the unexpected
and surprising places and time
bringing about joy sublime.
