Spirals
written by: Tinashe Muza
Stuck in a cycle
My ego eats me up
My past haunts me
Incessant regrets
A broken heart
A mournful mind
A dispirited body,
A shadow of gloom
I see its tear
Betrayed and unacknowledged
Disdained and ridiculed
A breeze approaches
Detached the shadow drifts
Never to come back.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
The trick for a healthy mind and body is not to mourn for the past nor to worry about the future but live the present moment wisely and earnestly – by Buddha
