Footprints

written by: Shade

@Ishan_Faragh

Those footprints on the desert sand,
Cutting across the sea of moon-lit sand

Like a stream of life in the lonely night,
A strange company in the full moon night

Maybe a traveler on a journey like mine,
Seeking a soul in the moon shine

Whether he found a reason to stop somewhere,
I ponder as I sit and mindlessly stare

Soon the dry winds would shift the sand,
A legacy would fade in new forms of land

It will fade away, the trail of a tale untold,
We’ll never know what clues these prints hold

What will remain will be a featureless plain,
Between the dunes of a sandy terrain,
Every night in it I will travel some more
Sleepless, my mind will wander some more.
