Heart Lies

Heart Lies

Oftentimes my heart lies to me
Whispering of love in soft glee
Jasmine wafting on the sea breeze
Fiery kisses sear my lips

A passion burning deep within
Sighing with such painful longing
From a dream an aching yearning
Into my night, sweet desire trips

I once again resume my sleep
While elusive scent of Jasmine
Begins teasing wanton senses
A great love into my dream slips

He weaves a spell of what could be
A man from tomorrow written
And as I breathe in that Jasmine
Its scent a man’s embrace strips
