Homeless
written by: Jharna Sanyal
It’s you all over the place.
Wherever i step, whatever i touch
it’s you all over.
It seems i am a trespasser
on someone else’s ground –
sneaking in, intruding.
i do not know when or how
you took over my place.
Even the cobweb in the corner,
quivering in the wind,
is now yours – though
you were scared of spiders.
The red you had spilled
on the floor has turned crimson
staring at the half done canvas.
i want you to forget me
as ashes do timber.
I have to reclaim my home.
