Inevitable
Our bodies go through changes
While time keeps moving

As energy also wanes
We need more rest time
Aging takes its toll

Sometimes we fight it
Not willing to accept what
Life will now entail

Here in the present
We might wish for what we’ve lost
Or wonder what’s next

Can we enjoy life
Walking through this new season
Filled with gratitude

Life is beautiful
Through ups and downs as we grow
Wisdom teaches us

While time keeps moving
We learn to slow and enjoy
Moments of each day

We cherish our time
Moving on through all our days
Filling them with joy

No need to worry
Through testing we will triumph
Strengthened by God’s grace

While time keeps moving
We look forward with sure hope
To life eternal
