Last Look

Last Look

written by: John Drudge

I saw you last
In the light
Of a clear September sky
Apprehensive
At the passion of it all
With the gentle movement
Of the trees
Faintly sad
As summer went silent
And I said goodbye
With one last look
Into your eyes
Before the leaves
Began to fall
