Elmien Wolvaardt is an Afrikaans-speaking South African editor and poet, now based in the historic city of York, United Kingdom. Elmien’s sparse, yet resonant poems draw on her experiences of life, love and motherhood. She began writing in 2015, and started sharing her work in 2021, after discovering the online open mic scene that blossomed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
