Merry Christmas

written by: Anne G

Silent night

holy night

Snowflakes fall

a splendid sight

A hush descends upon

the land tonight

Burgeoning hearts

spill with delight

Roaring fires

cups of cheer

Caroler's voices

far and near

Boughs of holly

Hearth and home

bask in the glow

Piney scents

perfume the air

fills the air

Silver and gold

frost and cold

Senses heighten

in young and old

Thoughts of peace

joy and love

Merry Christmas

to one and all

Why write?

I write because I am:

Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.

My intention:To poke, prod and provoke!

"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
