Naked And Bare

Naked And Bare

Naked and bare
they fall to the ground
large ones and small ones
beneath wizened pines

Strewn here and there
amongst autumn leaves
herald the season
of red orange gold

Scampering squirrels
woodpeckers too
await with excitement
the bounty of fall

Conifer treasures
trove of the woods
trophies of nature
crowning décor

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
