Owl

Owl

written by: Shoshana Vegh

An owl in my window
combs my heart
where did it come from?
I clear its appearance
and it is like a pit that does not fill
empty and void

And it looks at me
with empty eyes
every night extinguishing the fire
the branches of the wind sway
and I assume that the owl
is searching for a warm nest

A blind owl
comes to me
choking the pale night
I persuade it
to let me be
for it is a hollow pit
a muddle of emotions
that does not resolve itself
