Sea Within Me

Sea Within Me

written by: Gail Constable

Gray skies coloured the
Harbour deep navy
Dotted with crests of
White as the strong
Wind churned up the
Tips of waves, salt
Scented the air, gulls
Winged to feed on the
Incoming tide, their
Cries strident, a
Usual part of this scene,
Staring at the beauty
Of nature in action, I
Wished I was able to
Capture it in a photo
Or a painting, living
Forever as I was only
Alive with brine in my
Veins.
