Seduction

Seduction

written by: Kate Blake

they seem to slither and slide, sexy and seductive
or rumble around stumble or saunter so unsound
or short and sharp often rude
or languidly long morbidly misconstrued
these thoughts and words
direct all my actions
no real order no reason or rhyme
lacked purpose confounding waste of time

started meditating to try to tame them
to make sense
become more stable
calming bought comfort a sense of ease
rescued me from wanton distress disease
ironed the wrinkles
lightened my heart
clarity connects

as words and thoughts
became more reasoned patterns
confusion and congestion fled
life simplified
connections deepened
more meaningful
trite trends true trash
easing busyness less flash
