The Addiction Box
written by: Kaitlin Brothers
My addiction does not harm
The heart, lungs or skin
But every day the suffering
Coming from within
A small box
It’s so light, so small
This little, tiny square
In my pocket, in my bed
I have to take it everywhere
This box does not harm my heart, lungs or skin
But it seems to kill my soul
Until I’m no longer me at all
