The Art of You I Can’t Forget

My hands hover
over your name and number,
pausing,
before I cast myself
as an exhibition
to your ignorance,
yet again
Silence weighs heavy over willing fingers,
brushing over pictures
of deception
Thoughts of you linger in the air
painting trails of memories
begging to be forgotten
but fighting to stay alive
The haunting question
hangs inside a chaotic gallery –
Why isn’t this the end?
