The Dark

written by: L. Thornton

And she walks on
The breeze rustles
Through her hair
Haphazard half knot
Done with minimal care
And she doesn't stop
Doesn't slow her quickened pace
She is unaffected,
Walking stone
Immune to the sun,
The wind that races at her back
She is encased in a brewing storm
The black licks through the mortar
The Dark always
Finds Her
