The Nature Resembled Our Sorrow Rhythm

The Nature Resembled Our Sorrow Rhythm

written by: Nowar Almihmadi

Our pain collided like an eclipse. Our eyes met like the waves meeting the shore. Our silence sounded like a storm wishing to stop. Our laughter echoed like the sound of an empty hall. All that war, yet we never won.

Our love never met our worlds. Our pain never went away. Our eyes stopped meeting one another. Our laughter stopped echoing.
Our silence stopped being cared for.

My soul didn’t collide with yours. My love wasn’t enough to heal your pain. My eyes weren’t enough to soothe your scars. My giggles weren’t enough to silence your thoughts. My pain wasn’t enough for your words.

And suddenly, the flowers stopped blooming. The sunsets stopped shining. The stars looked dull. The clouds kept crying. The trees kept falling. The waves stopped meeting.
And your soul… it stopped answering.
