This Torment of Drowning
written by: Jose A. Tovar
If you cannot understand my words,
How can you understand my silence?
If you cannot understand my cries,
How can you understand my conscience?
How can you understand my anguish?
This torment of drowning
In a sea of people
Who are as alien to me
As the morn is to night.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
The suffering individual tragically misunderstood by the crowd.
