True Shamans

written by: James Dennis Casey IV

Men lie
Like stones
In cold chance
Turned shadow
By light of the moon

Dewy morning sun
Burns inside
Unheard of hearts
Won over
By truth

Friends of Bacchus
Filthy pleasures
Bulls at the altar
Boasting salvation
True shamans
Aged and

The house where creatures
Dwell in silence
Shifting changes
Within the world
Alone in the crowd

A road of
Shining stars
Making spirits whole again
Probing and gentile

Travel by the light
Of heart
To avoid the lies
Of man
