Turf Monster

Reaching,
Grabbing
Swiping at feet;
To feed a hunger
That needs quenching.
Here and there,
Everywhere; on
Different fields of play,
And the occasional Soccer
and Rugby pitches too.
Always attacking the
Runner’s foot;
Mad because they aren’t
There every day.
Regularly happy to grab feet
Of every shape and size;
Even on pitches across the world.
So as you are playing
The sport of your choosing,
Stay eternally aware
Of the elusive Monsters of Turf.
