Waves of Anger

Waves of Anger

written by: Thompson Emate

There is a sudden overcast.
Daylight is cut off,
And the night creeps in,
Changing the rhythm.

Melancholy blots the portrait,
As heavy winds blow across the garden, dropping its flowers.
The chamber is dark and cold,
And darkness unspools its tendrils.

Doors swing open,
Clattering and thundering,
Rumbling and tumbling,
Serrate the edges of time.

Clouds descend,
Tinged, thick, and coarse,
With changing patterns;
They cocoon and obscure.

There’s a heavy downpour,
Drops that pierce and prick the skin.
Suddenly, it subsides,
And calmness returns to the soul.
