The Wise Old Moon

written by: Anne G

The wise old moon shone bright last night

so full, so round and paper white.

It's golden halo all aglow

each passing minute seemed to grow.

I stood quite still as in a daze

beneath the spell of the full moon's gaze.

My heart did swell with great emotion

upon a thought and curious notion.

Imagine the sky within our sight

without the moon and it's guiding light.

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
