Carefully, I tried to craft,
The life I thought I want;
Never sure of my good fortune,
I danced to a different tune;
The love I once held dear,
Was no longer anywhere near;
But all wasn’t lost to fate,
Some credit went to hate;
Residing deep inside my heart,
Unfurling anger from the start;
I despised what I couldn’t get,
The pain I was unable to forget;
It led me to my demise,
Alas, I wasn’t wise.
