Would You Come to Me for a While?

Would you come to me for a while?

Would you come to me for a while?
For a few kisses and a hug,
For the feeling of skin on skin
For my heart sinking in yours
Looking for a travel companion
Looking for another lost soul
For another pair of drowned eyes
That only wish to love.
Would you come to me for a while?
We could get drunk on each other,
We could open our ribcages
And hold our hearts in our hands.
We could get high on feelings
We could drink from the fountain of luxury.
Would you come to me for a while?
Only for one hour or two,
Or for an eternity.
Only for a short embrace
Of entwined fingers,
Of lips, softly stroking each other.
Of sighs, moans and ecstasy.
Of pure nirvana.
So many possibilities.
Would you come to me for a while?
We could watch the whole world
From a room’s single window.
We could read books
And laugh at our silliness.
We could write poetry
With our bodies.
We could make paintings
From happiness.
But first,
Would you come to me for a while?
