Your Memory is Fading

Writing notes so I can remember
Like carving in stone with a hammer and chisel
Knowing the weight will be unbearable
And it will be gone till December
The fog is thick with smoke on the water
The room is moving aboard the SS Minnow
The gloom comes in like Craven
And the burden sings like Sinatra
One day it will end and the sun will rise on grass
Short term memory will be sorrow
But long will be forgotten
Your memory is fading, but it will pass
