You are the sun
and the shadows
a confluence of
radiance and gloom
on your head a halo
gracefully illumes.
Under the intensity
you burn
but the heat does not
incinerate you
you are a god
and a mortal
a creator
and a creation
an embodiment
of earth
and the heavens.
