Wish

Wish

written by: Sujata Dash

Wish there was another sky
Where rainbows never fade
Clouds indulge in mirth
Chasing each other
Like siblings at play

Wish there was another universe
Housing kind and benevolent souls
Where bonhomie rules the roost
Peace and bliss rain nonstop

Wish there were acres of orchards and gardens
Having all season fruit bearing trees and blossoms
Bees and butterflies hover around
Revelling in sunshine, feeding on nectar like swillers

Wish I were a writer of substance
My ink was prolific and proficient
Similes and metaphors complement each other
In my writeups
Become repository of my dreams and visions
Tracking memories and letting go of unrequited emotions.
