Broken Lead

Broken Lead

This pencil,
It bends-upends
A spike offending clairvoyant could hurry it.

Through the willowed words will weep,
What with and when “will it be then”
It should end not but one capricious censor
It broke.

Speaking in questions, inappropriately naked
A page worth drawing from lingers on
A flower??

How on the matter did it clobber this thing
Watching the wheel of a tv screen
Fleeting the beating hearts around me, screaming
Insidiously waving when I craved a younger shade.

Cigarette rolled readying, a steadied hand bleeds
From this piece of lead I broke.
