Perhaps we are great Thunderbirds

sowing the seeds of epic storms.

Or maybe, we’re just small feathers

slowly floating toward the ground.

Are we one with the steamy breath of the

majestic Buffalo standing covered in snow.

Possibly our souls are touched by the

howls or growls of the wolf or grizzly bear.

Can you hear the screams of the rainforests

as they crash by the millions to the ground.

Do you sleep well at night as so many are

murdered; clear-cut and gone forever?

As our air is polluted by the burning of fossil

fuels, and our climate changes getting warmer,

what is left behind for your children’s children?
