Cement

Cement

Each item,
a ghastly remnant,
exudes ectoplasm,
foul and wet, perturbing;
a substance that clings
onto life and occupies
its space forever, or until
the day it is retrieved;
and maybe that instance
will save me from drowning
alone in petrification.
