- Where, do you hail from?
- What is the greatest thing about the place you call home?
Sofia is my love, a unique city existing over Thrace, Greek, and Roman civilisations ruins, where The Cathedral, The Synagogue, and The Mosque are within walking distance at the center. Sofia is surrounded by mountains, the nearest one is Vitosha, a national nature park with a pick of 2100 metres in height. We have chestnut trees and linden blossoming in the spring all around.
- What turns you on creatively?
I started writing in childhood. I guess, I am that type of person, who gets impressed by details, beauty, and particular emotions, and I express my impressions by writing. Nature, love, the supreme force of the universe, called God, the interactions between feelings and history, positivity and conclusions, that is my direction.
- What is your favorite word, and can you use it in a poetic sentence?
Definitely, I have plenty of favorite words, but there are a few that exist all over my poems.
Sun, wind, birds and horses.
When God spread the sunlight
over the blue planet, as a ranger,
the wind was the messenger
with the wings of bright,
who rides on the clouds and delivers the change.
- What is your pet peeve?
Life is sometimes unjustified. I really hate when people are passive, with no reaction in front of some obvious injustice. When there is no belief… I find it annoying when someone keeps repeating how miserable his life is, but he never tried changing anything. I do not understand how some can say, this is me, and I cannot do even a little attempt to change…To improve…
- What defines Dessy Tsvetkova?
I believe I am a passer-through. I had some very hard moments in my life, so many lost, but I’ve managed to stand up each time and recover my smile. That is also part of my poetry – to have a positive final, to send a message of hope.
