A Love So Beautiful

A Love So Beautiful

written by: Sonali Majumdar

If you stumble upon a love,
So sweet and simple
Untimely, unexpected,
Unadulterated, unexpressed,
Be not saddened
If it cannot
Be consummated
It can be so beautiful
So rewarding in itself
Like walking through
An unknown forest
Danger lurking around,
While feeling lost
And exhausted,
You stop by to admire
A scenic sunset
You rest, you quench
Your thirst with your eyes.
You rejoice,
You feel happiness
Deep inside.
You feel healed.
It can be prayer
It can bring peace
It can be a blessing
Instead of dark desire
It can be friendship
Purest drops of tears
Or ringing laughter
For souls to remember
In years to cherish later
It can be inspiration
It can be consolation
For the many wrongs
Done to you by others
For a life full of hardships,
It can sometimes mean,
Fate’s little correction!
