Between The Lines

Between The Lines

written by: Enviara

He talks in verses,
my words, a quiet poem.
He sings in whispers,
yet somehow, his notes soar higher.

And still, I wonder,
on breezy, sleepless nights—
does he ever read between the lines?

Those forever green verses
etched on my heart.

When our eyes meet,
the time gets stuck,
moment stilled when our eyes meet.

I noticed the shine,
the way your eyes lit—
different shades of golden glaze,
those honey-kissed orbs in sunlit blaze.

And now I feel my lines are waste,
for they can never capture
the stillness your smile makes.

And still, I wonder,
on breezy, sleepless nights—
do you ever read between my lines?
