Bye 2017! Hi 2018!

written by: Dr. MOLLY JOSEPH

in the
         wilderness
of the garden
               grow
weeds
         that resist
unweeding...

demure,
         they hide
spread
          invisible
fooling you.

the flowers
           of
last year's
           garden
covered them,
those
       tiny weeds..

2017,
        I love you,
for those
              flowers...
the fragrance
            they offered...
the smiles
           that cheered..

2018,
    let me stop
unweeding
          your garden..
revelling
             in your
wilderness,
         with dreamy
   eyes
             let me trot
  with a sprint
         in my steps
   a song
            on my lips
flowing
         with the flow..
