China Rose

written by: Nicole Doyle

Tears stain the night as the candle falls
Screams weave through the street lamps
Fireflies light the way of the grazing dreams
The warrior hands me a cup and tells me to drink

Torn and broken, bleeding from the evergreen
Wounded souls never smell the china roses
Desires don't believe in the twisted way of love
A man hands me a cup and tells me to drink
