Christmas Joy

The Westminster, Piccadilly Circus
London’s Hyde Park and the Tube
Rome’s Colosseum, Piazza Navona
Fountain del Moro, the Pantheon
The Strand, Opera House in Sydney
Welcome to Christmas, White Christmas
Uniting us in anticipation of Christmas joy.

Christmas, White Christmas is coming
Joyous holidays to us all across the world
Let’s forget what divides us and unite
Alongside the song of love in our hearts
For life can be as joyous as is Christmas
We need only to want it, so let’s embrace it
Ah! Long live Christmas, all the year round!

The Manhattan’s streets and its avenues
Central Park, Harlem, Brooklyn Heights
Rockefeller Center, Times Square Ball
Wonders upon wonders in New York City
San Francisco cafés, Wellington’s bars
Amsterdam’s Damrak and glorious channels
Moscow behind closed and locked doors.

Cracow’s jazz clubs and student houses
Brussel’s Grote Markt and the Town Hall
Eye catching Manneken Pis, the Atomium
The Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong
The Louvre in Paris, Eiffel Tower
Palace of Versailles, Arc de Triomphe
The Champs-Élysées, Parisian city lights.

The Brandenburg Gate, the Mitte skyline
And what is left of the Berlin Wall
Brazilian Copacabana, the snowy Alps
Kathmandu and spectacular Himalayas
Praag, Melbourne, Tbilisi, Buenos Aires
Wherever you look there is Christmas joy
One that is filling hearts across the world.
