Currents Of Creation

written by: David Wagoner

Wading in the shallows
of an ocean of the ages.
Basking in the reflected blue glow
of the nascent stars.
Comet trails lapping at my ankles.
Saturn’s rings
rippling from the drops
dripping from my fingertips.
Planets revolving
in the crashing waves
of the solar wind.
Swirling whirlpool
in an arctic ocean
calving a solar system.
Currents of creation.
