...dark bleed deep

written by: Jackson Thomas

Oh why did I choose
This wall to beat my head

A sturdy bricked muse
Procrastinated dread

With witching hour loosed
To weathered wishes wed

Long since lost bemused
For patients loving fled

And finding pain instead

With my hands numbed blue
Feeling severed from dread

But knowing better dews
Are days and days ahead

To which past love woos
The twisted need misread

Finding hands anew
Strapped to my posted bed
