Dear Austin

written by: Tylia Flores

Trying to find the words to jot it all together

Now that you’re gone with a piece of my heart

Nowhere to run nowhere to hide

I guess I might as well write this and cry myself to sleep at night

Staring out the window looking at the bright moon

I think of you as the stars twinkle

And my heart begins to break once more

As I remember the times we shared together

Wishing I could go back in time and relive each memory we shared

Staying up on the phone till 3 AM

Until we fell asleep and Woke up the next morning

So that we can do it all over again

If I can go back to our last day when you packed your bags

And decided to walk away I would get down on my knees and beg you not to leave

Instead, I would have held you until I couldn’t anymore

I would’ve told you how much I appreciate you

And how much you meant to me but most of all I would’ve told you how much I love you
