Digital Nomad

When he lived in the heart of the country
On the third floor
Locked himself up
In his room with
‏Electric guitars
‏Smoked and chilled
‏One morning he scattered his belongings
‏And left for a new house in a foreign land
To follow obscure dreams

I asked myself how did this happen
That our son left a street named “Salvation”

כַּאֲשֶׁר הִתְגּוֹרֵר בְּלֵב הָאָרֶץ
‎בְּקוֹמָה שְׁלִישִׁית
‎הִסְתַּגֵּר
‎בְּחֶדֶר עִם גִּיטָרוֹת חַשְׁמַלִּיּוֹת
‎עִשֵּׁן וְנִרְגַּע
‎בֹּקֶר אֶחָד פִּזֵּר אֶת חֲפָצָיו
‎וְיָצָא בְּעִקְבוֹת חֲלוֹמוֹת סְתוּמִים
‎לְבַיִת חָדָשׁ בְּאֶרֶץ זָרָה
‎שָׁאַלְתִּי אֶת עַצְמִי אֵיךְ
‎זֶה קָרָה לָנוּ שֶׁהַבֵּן עָזַב
‎רְחוֹב בְּשֵׁם גְּאֻלָּה
