Dirge

The afternoon blue refused to speak
These eyes so deep entwine a grief
I tasted tears in salt and gray
My heart adrift on lukewarm tea
This Sunday still reminds of light
But dirge is felt so dim as night
The downbeat tone that lulls the ears
The waterfalls that blind thy sight
The dirty shelves with withered dust
Remind of yesteryears of lily was
