Dreams and Wishes

I wished a wish upon a star,
a wistful whimsical wishful wish.
I blew a kiss upon my dreams
and sprinkled stardust on my thoughts.
I closed my eyes and shut them tight
and silently willed them to come true.
And as I waited, hoped and prayed
your countenance before me did appear.
You smiled and all at once I knew
my dreams and wishes had come true.

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
