Fall

Fall is in full swing again.
A more optimistic year.
An appropriate name, Fall.
Last Fall, I fell.
So hard, that I blacked out.
I woke up on valentines day.
Broken, bruised and alone.
Now, a year later and its the little things that still aren’t quite right.
Every cup of coffee, especially on Sunday mornings.
So many songs….
when I happen upon anything, that I know she would have liked…
I can’t share it with her anymore….
I could, but that would only be holding on.
It’s better this way.
A clean cut and a quick suture.
Less blood.
The little bit I have left, I’d like to keep…
