Fill Me Up

written by: Connor Ball

Chicken noodle soup doesn't fill me up.

Money doesn't validate me.

And moving a quill around doesn't take care of pain quite like Nyquil.
So why would a bible fill up holes bigger than space itself?

So why would your words make up for endless lists of questions?

All beginning with why.

And all ending with a headache.
So most people find something to fill them up.

Cheeseburgers fill some up...Or out...

Work fills some up...Or down...

Abuse fills some up...Or locked up...

And ignorance fills everyone up...the rest of the way.

But every time something grounds someone...

that's not someone's mom...

Someone becomes a little more in touch.

A little more sure.

A little more filled up.
