ABANDONED

Drowning, fading fast,

You stole my life preserver

And destroyed my raft.

 

GASLIT

My words to remould,

My reality controlled,

My story retold.

 

SHRIEK

Like a banshee’s wail,

The shrieks pierce the tranquil night,

Our song is playing.

 

SCARS

Pink, crude and ragged,

Your barbaric mementos,

Etched into my flesh.

 

INSULTS

Sharp and crudely jagged,

Your vicious tongue, your weapon,

Lacerates me.

 

BRUISES

Purple and yellow,

The portrait of your anger,

Drawn upon my skin.

 

BLOOD

Scarlet elixir,

Mine to lose and yours to spill,

The vessel empty.

 

BREAKING

The dam bursts open,

The crimson river erupts,

The reservoir drained.

 

SECRETS

It never happened,

Conspiracy of silence,

May as well be screams.

 

SILENCE

My secrets choked back,

My truth lurks in the shadows,

My voice never heard.

 

TEARS

Crystal beads shimmer,

Trickling down the blank canvas,

Now forever changed.

 

HIDDEN

A face always masked,

Reality fades fast,

One clear thought, my last.

 

TIME’S UP

Never replenished,

The currency of mankind,

My funds depleted.

 

SOS

Crashing crimson sea,

The force dragging me under,

Someone please save me.

 

HOPE

Iridescent spark,

The lonely shroud of nightfall,

Illuminated.

 

REBUILD

The once shattered vase,

Slowly pieced back together,

Holds flowers in bloom.
